Food Service Assistant

Anticipated schedule includes a combination of AM and PM shifts Monday through Thursday, AM shifts on Fridays, and a rotating weekend schedule. Actual hours may vary based on department needs.

Major Responsibilities:
Demonstrates the ability to ensure the quality and accuracy of department operations by providing a selective menu service to patients.
2)Communicates effectively when assisting patients and/or family with menu selections.

3)Communicates between Nursing, Guest Service Representatives, and tray line in order to clarify orders and provide prompt service.

4)Communicates special patient needs to Clinical Dietitians

1)Using a hand-held computer, down-loads and up-loads patient information and obtains menu selections for all assigned patients and units.

Demonstrates the ability to ensure the quality and accuracy of department operations by processing Diet, Tube-Feeding, Supplement, Nourishment Orders, as well as patient Allergy information.
