Where You Will Work:
Our Level II Labor & Delivery/Postpartum unit provides care for patients delivering at 32 weeks gestation and above, with protocols in place to stabilize and transfer those under 32 weeks to a Level III facility. The unit includes 9 labor rooms, 12 postpartum rooms (shared with med-surg patients, though OB nurses care only for OB patients), 3 triage bays, and 2 dedicated OB operating rooms. We average 100 deliveries per month, totaling 1,183 last year. The team consists of 6 in-house OB/GYNs, anesthesia on-call exclusively for OB (typically in-house or nearby), and a neonatal nurse practitioner available 24/7 for high-risk deliveries. Lactation support is available seven days a week through two full-time and two casual consultants, and an educator with flexible hours supports both day and night shifts. …
