Medical Assistant II for School Health Alliance

Operating hours are Monday through Friday, school days. This is a 12 month opportunity.

The School Health Alliance for Forsyth County offers healthcare services for WSFCS-enrolled students and staff. We provide well-child checks, health assessments, hearing and vision screenings, sports preparticipation physicals, nutrition services, and mental health services.

Major Responsibilities:

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice, follows all policies and procedures, and maintains training and competency based on area of specialty when providing patient care.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks such as vital signs, medication reconciliation, medical history, health maintenance, allergy review, and screenings (depression, suicide, falls, social drivers of health, etc.).
• Assists provider with or performs procedures as ordered.
• Performs lab related duties such as venipuncture, specimen collection/labeling/packing, preparation of lab orders/requisitions, and results tracking. Point of Care testing (POCT) per standing order/provider order. …
